That's what this post will be. I've had a headache today after running around and not eating lunch and now my eyes are burning. That didn't start until I took the salmon out of the oven and got some of the smoke in my eyes (the salmon itself wasn't burnt, just the oil and skin on the pan). Anyway, I wanted to post a few pictures.
Here are there plants I bought last week. Aren't they green???
Ryan has become quite the little photographer. Take a look at a few pictures he's taken recently:

| Ayi! |
Here are a few random pictures from the last couple weeks:
 |
| Can you tell who had been outside in the cold? |
 |
| The boys playing the Wii on New Year's Eve |
 |
| Ryan practicing for Thailand |
 |
| Curious George Zoo Game meets The Marble Game |
 |
| This is what happens when you add rice to meatballs. Tim made these Porcupine Balls and they were delicious! |
 |
| The air quality has been very bad lately so Ryan and I decided to paint ourselves some sunshine and ocean. |

| Another of Ryan's pics |

| Making the polluted sky look a little blue. If I can find more finger paints I will do this to all the windows:). |
I must go read to the boy before he goes to sleep. So long!
Jan what an interesting blog. (they always are but this one is just a bit more than usual!) I love your plants. They are very lush and green and the orchid reminds me of our cruise cause there were tons of them everywhere on the ship.
ReplyDeleteAnd Ryan is a super little photographer. It is good to teach them young! I just used my digital photos to get important dates for Stefan that he needed to write an essay on his life. Since I take photos when he sneezes we had his life documented in pictures. Hover over them and get the date. I don't keep a diary but this is even better as there are photos to go with it.
Ryan makes a sweet little Curious George and Nick has lovely rosy cheeks in his photo!
As I said on Facebook, I love the paintings on the windows! Like Elaine I think you have a great idea there.
I must go and get some of my cards done and photos ready for Carsands. Bye for now and have a great day painting!
Jan, your plants must really brighten up your apartment, they give you a hint of spring and summer and what is to come.
ReplyDeleteLove the photos, Ryan is becoming quite the little photographer. Love the rosy cheeks it must have been a good day to play outside.
Ryan looks so cute in his Curious George mask and Nick seems to be concentrating on the game. It doesn't hurt to practice for something as cool as snorkeling might as well make sure everything fits.
Love the paintings on your windows. They sure do make the outdoors look a lot brighter. The boys used to use window markers on my patio doors it was always a fun thing to do and it was easy to clean off. We used to play the x and o game as well.
I am swimming every day now, am going to try it for a while and if it doesn't bother my shoulder I will keep it up. Carl is supposed to be starting an exercise program
(for people with COPD) at the hospital which will include some walking at the walking track in the civic center if they every get it open. I will probably walk with him as long as it doesn't interfere with my swimming.
Tricia and Darren are getting their house ready to sell, it has been one thing after another for them, they had to replace the bathroom floor and lay new tiles, they had the furnace cleaned and discovered a leaking hot water pipe, had that fixed and now they have to have the electrician come in and replace the electrical panel. Tricia likes to plan ahead and they have been looking at houses on line. They seem to be getting a little excited....or maybe it is me. They may be down in March to house hunt.
Well Jan must go and get my corn chowder started, Stevie and the boys are here for supper tonight and Hayden wanted corn chowder. It is easy so I agreed plus everyone likes it.
Have a great day, hi to the men folk.
Love you guys, take care.
beautiful plants! Love all the photos!
ReplyDeleteI made porcupine balls once, and they didn't turn out right, the rice was crunchy! Let me know what recipe Tim used, as I would like to try again. They seem so yummy, just without a crunch!
